Wool / Alpaca Denim Program

In collaboration with California Fibershed and American Woolen Company, New York Fibershed is developing a heavyweight wool/alpaca denim using regionally sourced, Climate Beneficial™️ fiber from Nevada, Montana, & New York farms.

This project supports how cross-regional collaboration can support traceable, regional textile systems.

  • This denim is Climate Beneficial™ Verified (CBV).

    CBV is a regenerative agriculture program that supports farmers with planning, technical assistance, soil testing, and peer learning, while verifying outcomes in soil health, carbon sequestration, water systems, and biodiversity through on-farm data and environmental monitoring.

    The Climate Beneficial™ Verification is recognized nationally as an industry standard through the Textile Exchange and related brand partners.
