FLOCK: A Celebration of Regional Fiber
We’re excited to share that FLOCK: A Celebration of Regional Fiber is returning to Union Square Greenmarket. This free event, hosted by New York Fibershed and New York Textile Lab in partnership with Grow NYC, brings together local fiber producers, artisans, and curious New Yorkers to explore where our textiles come from and why local fiber producers are so important to building a sustainable future.
At FLOCK, you’ll:
Discover the journey from raw fleece to finished fabric through hands-on demonstrations of spinning, carding, weaving, natural dyeing, and more.
Meet the farmers behind Catskill Merino Farm, Rosehaven Alpaca, Dashing Star Farm, and Lilymoore Farm, and stock up on their beautiful sheep and alpaca products—yarns, wool socks, fleeces, and beyond.
Join our community weaving project, explore the art of natural dyes with the founder of the Pratt Dye Garden, and enjoy even more fiber-filled activities!ocally sourced and produced fibers, yarns, and textile goods.
